TYW - Tercios banderas

Je commence des armées pour la guerre de 30 ans. il s'agit de bannières de tercios espagnols. Les tercios espagnols sont une structure d'infanterie inspirées par les unités de piétons suisses des guerres d'Italies.  Les tercios sont des unités de piquiers, d'halbardier et d'enfants perdus (armés d'épées et chargés de désorganiser les rangs adverses) cette organisation est héritée des bataillons suisses. L'inovation consiste à mettre en place en support des tireurs en plus forte proportion. Il faudra attendre la bataille de Rocroi pour que ces unités soient vaincues par l'artillerie et le feu. 

Les bannières sont d'une forme différentes avec une forme plus rectangulaires, les sources montrent également une taille plus importante. Les visuels sont assez complexes et comprennent par tradition la croix de bourgogne, symbole utilisé dès Maximilien Ier. 

Les sources sont principalement des tableaux de l'époque montrant ces bannières, j'avoue n'avoir pas fait l'effort de rechercher le tercios correspondant au drapeau. 

I start armies for the 30 years war. It is about banners of Spanish tercios. The Spanish tercios are an infantry structure inspired by the Swiss pedestrian units of the Italian wars.  The tercios are units of pikemen, halberdiers and lost children (armed with swords and charged with disrupting the opposing ranks) this organization is inherited from the Swiss battalions. The innovation consisted in putting in place a larger proportion of shooters in support. It was not until the battle of Rocroi that these units were defeated by artillery and fire. 

The banners are of a different shape with a more rectangular form, the sources also show a larger size. The visuals are quite complex and traditionally include the cross of Burgundy, a symbol used as early as Maximilian I. 

The sources are mainly paintings of the time showing these banners, I confess I did not make the effort to search for the tercios corresponding to the flag.
